In partnership with Luxgears, we put the Xpeng G6 to the test. Positioned against the Tesla Model Y, it stands out as a modern and ambitious electric SUV, combining sleek design, advanced technology and competitive pricing. Its futuristic yet sleek exterior styling is appealing, with integrated door handles, 20-inch wheels and a panoramic roof as standard.

The interior focuses on space and functionality. Despite the absence of premium materials such as leather or Alcantara, the build quality and soft textures create a pleasant atmosphere. Soundproofing is enhanced at the front thanks to double glazing, and the generous rear space with flat floor makes it ideal for families.

On the road, the G6 shines with its agility, comfort and energy efficiency. The suspension absorbs bumps well, and regenerative braking, combined with a well-calibrated adaptive cruise control, ensures a smooth ride. The version we tested, with an 80 kWh battery, offers solid range and balanced performance. Technically, the G6 features a dual screen, Apple CarPlay, intelligent voice controls and ultra-fast charging up to 300 kW. A few minor bugs remain, but overall it is a convincing package.
With a starting price of around €42,000 in Luxembourg, the Xpeng G6 offers a comprehensive and attractive package, ideal for drivers looking for a spacious, well-equipped and affordable electric SUV.
