The new Ducati Streetfighter V4S undoubtedly belongs to a very exclusive club. Half hyperbike, half street bike, this Italian machine is a true work of art on wheels. But aside from its style, it is above all a demonstration of power. As one of the most powerful roadsters on the market, it is a real challenge.

Slightly revised silhouette

The Streetfighter V4S remains true to the architecture and philosophy from which it was born: a Panigale V4 without fairing, showing off its muscles and components. Ducati has slightly revised the design for 2025. The changes are subtle but noticeable: the lines are tighter, the air intakes have been redesigned for better airflow and the aerodynamic wings are now more imposing. The tank has also been redesigned and now looks slimmer. Most notably, however, the beautiful single-sided swingarm at the rear has been replaced by a swingarm derived from MotoGP.

The forged black Ducati rims and minimalist rear fairing emphasise the sporty character. Carbon finishes and a titanium exhaust system are available as options to round off the aggressive silhouette. The 2025 version is available exclusively in red.

The heart of an Italian thoroughbred

Under the sleek bodywork beats the Desmosedici Stradale, a 90° V4 engine with a displacement of 1,103 cm³, which comes directly from MotoGP. The engine delivers 214 hp at 13,500 rpm and 120 Nm of torque at 11,250 rpm. It is a masterpiece of engineering with desmodromic valve control (without springs, which prevents valve flutter at high revs), a counter-rotating crankshaft (rotates in the opposite direction to the wheels to counteract gyroscopic torque and improve handling), variable intake geometry and optimised thermal management. Ducati has also revised the water and oil circuits and the valve control to improve efficiency in the mid-range.

When riding, the engine is a real experience for the senses. At low revs, it hums like a large twin-cylinder. From 8,000 rpm, it revs up with a loud roar and becomes literally devilish beyond 10,000 rpm. Acceleration is breathtaking, start-up is lightning fast and every twist of the throttle is immediately and powerfully translated by the engine. Even with the standard exhaust system, the sound is tremendous: the Streetfighter roars like a wild predator.

Chassis: surgical precision

Such performance requires a chassis that is equally capable. The V4S is based on a new aluminium front frame taken directly from the Panigale V4. It is compact, rigid and encloses the load-bearing engine, achieving excellent mass centralisation. At the rear, a new symmetrical hollow swingarm inspired by racing reinforces the precision of this overall package.

However, it is the suspension that really makes the difference. The S version features the Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) 3.0 electronic suspension system, based on Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 semi-active components. A 43 mm NIX30 fork and a TTX36 shock absorber, both fully electronically controlled, are fitted, as well as an Öhlins steering damper.

The result? Impressive stability at both very high speeds and at 50 km/h in the city. The riding comfort is surprisingly pleasant, especially in Road mode, which cushions bumps well. In Sport and Race modes, the Ducati can be steered extremely precisely through corners.

Braking is handled by new Brembo Hy-Pure monoblock calipers. These are a further development of the Stylema calipers. They are snappy but easy to modulate. They are combined with two 330 mm discs at the front. The feel at the lever is remarkably precise.

The side wings are not just a stylistic element, but have been tested in the wind tunnel and on the racetrack. At 270 km/h, they generate 17 kg of downforce on the front axle and improve stability during braking and traction. They offer real added value, especially during sporty riding, fast cornering and heavy braking.

Electronics: The most advanced ‘brain’ on the market?

The ‘brain’ of the V4S 2025 is the Ducati Vehicle Control (DVC). This is an advanced algorithm that can simulate data from over 70 sensors. This allows the settings to be constantly adjusted according to the inclination, acceleration, braking or position of the motorcycle. This system works in a predictive manner, increasing safety and confidence in the vehicle.

The new Streetfighter V4S is equipped with numerous electronic aids: traction control, anti-wheelie, drift management, engine brake control, electronic suspension, pit lane speed limiter and turn signals with automatic shut-off. All these functions can be individually adjusted using the controls on the left handlebar. However, this is best done when the bike is stationary so that the rider can concentrate fully on the road in traffic.

The 6.9-inch TFT screen displays all the necessary information. It is a pity, however, that there is no fuel gauge. Only a reserve indicator lights up. There are four riding modes (Road, Sport, Race and Wet) available, which finely tune the engine parameters and assistance systems.

Pure riding excitement

The forward-leaning seating position with slightly angled legs ensures a direct connection to the machine. The 845 mm high seat is firm but not uncomfortable and puts the rider in an active yet natural position.

The sporty character of the V4S is evident after just a few kilometres. The steering is precise and the feel for the front axle is impressive. The overall lightness gives the 200 hp motorcycle astonishing agility.

Every time you accelerate, the adrenaline rushes through your veins. The V4 catapults the motorcycle forward with controlled yet impressive power. Corners can be taken with astonishing ease and you shoot out of them like a bullet.

And yet, despite this power, the V4S can also be restrained. In the city or on country roads, it is easy to ride thanks to its smooth engine and efficient assistance systems.

It is a motorcycle that leaves no rider indifferent. On the one hand, it is radical, demanding, sometimes even brutal. For those who understand it, it becomes a source of pure pleasure. The V4S is aimed at those who demand the very best in technology and don’t want to compromise on pure riding pleasure. This machine can do it all: cruise, attack, perform on the racetrack or simply shine in the garage.

Italian excellence

The Ducati Streetfighter V4S is not just a simple evolution. It is the result of several years of work. It embodies the ultimate in a hypersport roadster: a racy, powerful machine of incredible sophistication. The Ducati Streetfighter V4S is available at a price of €28,490.
