The 91st edition of the Paris Motor Show (Mondial de l’Auto) will take place from 12 to 18 October 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. With more than 60 brands announced, against 48 in 2024 and 20 in 2022, the Paris show is regaining a scale it had lost. This is down to the return of several major European names and a sharp increase in Chinese presence.
In 2024, the show drew more than 500,000 visitors. The organisers, the Plateforme automobile (PFA) and Hopscotch Groupe, are aiming for higher attendance this year, across five halls and 70,000 m² of indoor exhibition space, plus 15,000 m² outdoors.
A show that is winning its manufacturers back
With the exception of BMW-Mini, Toyota and Nissan, all the major Western manufacturers will be present. Stellantis returns with eight brands (Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Lancia, Leapmotor, Opel and Peugeot), against four in 2024. Mercedes-Benz, smart and Volvo return after an absence dating back to 2014, while Ford has confirmed its presence. The Volkswagen Group fields Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, Cupra and its commercial vehicles, and Renault Group occupies Hall 6 with Renault, Dacia, Alpine and Renault Pro+.
The two largest stands alone announce more than 110 vehicles. Renault Group plans around 50 models, including six new arrivals shown to the public for the first time, and Stellantis more than 60 vehicles, including nine concept cars.
The Asian presence is the most pronounced. Nearly 20 Chinese brands will be in Paris, against nine at the previous edition. A count based on the show’s official floor plan gives the same order of magnitude, with 52 manufacturers identified.
