With over 27,000 orders in 38 countries, the latest Alfa Romeo model seems to be inspiring. A detailed look at the Junior Q4 in the hybrid version.

With hybrid and all-wheel drive, the Junior Ibrida Q4 positions itself as a versatile and efficient option. Its Italian design is just as captivating as its driving performance.

The Alfa Romeo Junior Q4 features an elegant and dynamic exterior design that remains true to the brand’s DNA. Its flowing lines and bold curves emphasise its sporty appearance. The full-LED headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels add a modern and sophisticated touch. The Junior Q4 is available in a range of colours and is guaranteed to turn heads on the road. The reinterpretation of the ‘Leggenda’ crest gives its aesthetics a distinctive touch.

The interior of the model does not disappoint. The materials, such as the leather and fabric of the Spiga seats, are carefully crafted and provide excellent comfort. The heated and electrically adjustable seats offer good support even when driving dynamically. The space in the rear is sufficient for passengers up to 1.85 metres tall. Taller people might feel a little cramped. The boot has a capacity of 340 litres, which is slightly less than the 400 litres of the non-hybrid version, but it is sufficient for everyday driving and even for a holiday with little luggage. The attention to detail is also evident in the elegant and striking ambient lighting with eight colours.

Under the bonnet of the Junior Q4 is a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine coupled with two electric motors, which combine to produce 145 horsepower. Although this configuration is not intended for sporty driving, it offers pleasant driving dynamics and, thanks to the all-wheel drive, excellent traction. Fuel consumption is reasonable, with an average of 4.6 to 5.2 litres per 100 kilometres in the combined cycle. In city traffic, the 48V hybrid system is particularly efficient, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. Power-looping technology ensures all-wheel drive even when the battery is low. The all-electric version offers a range of up to 410 kilometres.

The Junior Q4 has a 10.25-inch infotainment system with navigation that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The audio system with six speakers offers satisfactory sound quality. Other features include level 2 autonomous driving, a very good quality 180° rear view camera and hands-free electric tailgate operation. The DNA selector allows the performance of the car to be adapted to the driving conditions, with Dynamic, Natural, Q4 and Advanced Efficiency modes.

In terms of safety, the Alfa Romeo Junior Q4 is well equipped. Driver assistance systems such as collision warning and emergency braking help to keep you safe. After an initial test drive, the calibration of these systems seems to be very good and accurate. The MultiLink rear suspension improves stability and comfort, while power-looping technology ensures all-wheel drive even when the battery is low. Traction is very good in all conditions, whether it’s snow, mud or rain on the road.

The dimensions of the Junior Q4 are also remarkable: it is 4,173 millimetres long, 1,781 millimetres wide (1,981 millimetres with exterior mirrors) and 1,544 millimetres high. Its wheelbase is 2,557 mm, providing good stability and a comfortable interior. The fuel tank has a capacity of 44 litres.

The Alfa Romeo Junior Q4 is a versatile car that combines elegance, comfort and technology. Its strengths lie in its all-wheel drive, fuel efficiency and well-thought-out design. Although its performance isn’t meant for fans of sporty driving, it offers a pleasant and safe driving experience. All in all, the Junior Q4 is a great choice for those looking for a versatile and stylish hybrid car.
